Artist's Comments

I took some pictures in the Brooklyn Botanical Garden on April 23rd.
I had gone there a week before to check out the cherry blossoms and took some of my regular lenses - polarizer etc - typical gear for such work - of course a macro lens...... well I did not see as well as I thought I would - I did not feel the images - I could not record them as I wanted - it was productive to a very small extent.
On the 23rd I decided to return and try again but this time with a lens that is very difficult to use and is extremely powerful making the shooting even harder. I used a 600mm Sigma lens - on my digital camera that 600 mm becomes even more powerful. As I walked around I had to see this wide beautiful space and look for tone changes and details - I was very happy with the work I did and I am showing some of it here.
As always - if you have ANY questions just ask me at any time.
David

Beautiful flower!
It really is amazing to see in person - it looks so much like flames when there are a bunch of them together.
Glad you liked it - thank you for the fave ;-)
